Ryan Drum PhD, RH (AHG) has been a commercial medicinal herb and seaweed wildcrafter, teacher, and medical herbalist in private and clinical practice for over thirty years. He specializes in seaweed therapies, men's health and thyroid problems.Since leaving academia (Botany Prof. at UMASS/Amherst,UCLA, WWU; NATO Postdoc U.Bonn, U. Leeds'64-65 in Cell Biology/Electron Microscopy) in 1976, he has mostly lived in a small cabin he built on an isolated island homestead off the grid, w/o indoor plumbing. He studied 12yrs with renowned Canadian healer, Ella Birzneck, founder of Dominion Herbal College, where he taught 25 years at summer seminars. He is the proud father of three (Hillary, Duskin, Bochay) and grandfather of two (Madalyn, Easton).
