This course is full of new content, research updates and breaking news in primary care areas of women’s health, nutrition and clinical nutrition, herbal medicine, migraines, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, hypothyroidism, DM, gastrointestinal health and conception-pregnancy-lactation. Our primary care for women course is suited for the practitioner who is working with or wants to work with women and wishes to develop their expertise in the use of evidence-based botanical, nutritional and hormonal options, and enhance their skills in evaluation and management. We are extremely thrilled to have an amazing collection of expert faculty and researchers for this high caliber seminar. Back by popular demand, the enthusiastic Tieraona Low Dog, M.D. shares her expertise in pre-conception and pregnancy nutrition. Andrea M. Girman, M.D., MPH shares her insights and expertiseon comprehensive testing for GI absorption, inflammation, infection, permeability and dysbiosis. We welcome back Mark C. Houston, M.D., M.S., FACP, FAHA. He has an extraordinary grasp of the science and a comprehensive approach to the evaluation and management of dyslipidemia. We also welcome back Mona Morstein, N.D. who has emerged as a leader in the naturopathic profession for her expertise in diabetes. Anne Nedrow, M.D. is well-known for her advocacy of integrative medicine in women’s primary care. Alan G. Christianson, N.M.D. will help us resolve the controversies and confusions in diagnosing and treating hypothyroidism and especially those sublaboratory cases. Tori Hudson, N.D. brings her depth and breadth of knowledge to update us in key issues in women’s health from 2009/2010 including screening guidelines and select nutritional/botanical research studies that can enhance clinical practice. Last but certainly not least, we are very pleased to have Jacob E. Teitelbaum, M.D. as a speaker this weekend. He has been a thought leader for the natural treatments of CFS/FM and has directed important breakthrough research. We welcome our new speakers and welcome back our returnees.
