Unified Wine & Grape Symposium ~ 2003
Since the American Society for Enology and Viticulture and the California Association of Winegrape Growers joined forces to create the Unified Wine & Grape Symposium nine years ago, the Symposium has become the largest wine and grape show in the nation. ~ This year's Symposium features presentations by more than eighty speakers who are leaders from the fields of enology, viticulture, business, public relations, finance and marketing. They will be providing the most critical, up-to-date industry information during three days of dynamic science, technology, business development, industry growth and advancement presentations. ~ Addressing today's dramatic changes in the grape and wine business, the comprehensive program covers such wide-ranging topics as sustainable winegrowing practices, market information all vintners and grape growers need to know, current information on Pierce's disease and mealybugs, irrigation management, developing new markets for selling grapes and wine, and creative solutions for surviving a difficult financial market. ~ Over the years, the Unified Symposium evolved to become one of the premier industry gatherings. It not only concentrates on the issues shaping today, but also looks forward to the topics and trends shaping the future of grapegrowing grapegrowing and winemaking. ~ Representing the Entire Industry Unified Wine & Grape Symposium organizers have a long and distinguished history of providing vintners and growers with the information they need to remain competitive. While jointly organized by ASEV and CAWG, the show represents the collective experience, knowledge and background of the entire industry. The program is presented in cooperation with the American Vineyard Foundation; American Vintners Association; California State University, Fresno; Family Winemakers of California; University of California, Davis; and Wine Institute.
